The Deal and the Doctor's Daughter

Eleanor is a broke medical student who has just staged a scandal with Xander Quinn, the most powerful young heir in the city. When he wakes, she goes on the attack: "You're a rapist! I'm calling the police!"

Xander is stunned. "No woman has ever dared to speak to me like that." He tries to buy her off: "I'll give you 5 million, just leave and never come back." Eleanor throws it right back at him: "I don't want your dirty money! Do you know what you did last night?"

But the money isn't the point. She asks for a loan—just enough to bury her father. Before any of this, Eleanor watched her dad die in her arms after a hit-and-run. The car belonged to the Chen family. She had just gotten into the top medical school and ran to tell him the good news. Instead, she held him as he told her he wouldn't get to see her graduate.

So when Xander offers her cash, she asks for a modest loan and a promise to repay it. He's intrigued. He gives her the money. And Eleanor quietly declares war: she'll take down the crown prince, and she'll do it by taking what he loves most.

Then Chen Wanyue comes home early, and the temperature drops. She takes one look at Eleanor and smells a threat—ordering that the maid be gotten rid of. She digs through Eleanor's belongings, hunting for proof, and when Eleanor begs her to stop, Wanyue's mask slips into pure venom, warning her off for seducing her man behind her back.

Xander steps in—but not to defend Eleanor. He tells Wanyue not to lower herself to fight with someone who isn't worth it. To Wanyue's face, he insists Eleanor means nothing. Yet he doesn't throw her out. He tells Eleanor to clean the house and that they'll discuss her leaving later. That "later" is everything.

Eleanor reads it as a crack in his armor. She tells Qianqian the plan is nearly complete—one final push and she can replace Wanyue in his heart for good. That push is a yacht party full of Wanyue's wealthy friends, where Eleanor knows she'll be humiliated. She goes anyway, determined to end the night standing where Wanyue stands.

The party is already turning ugly. Wanyue's circle sneers at Xander as a "simp" and a "block of ice," then turns on Eleanor the moment she appears—mocking her as the "female simp" who crawled onto their deck to sniff around their man. Eleanor walked into the lion's den on purpose. The question is whether she walks out with Xander's heart—or gets devoured by the game she started.
